Profile & account

Your own name, email, password and account deletion.

On this page

Profile is the one screen about you rather than about the workspace. Everyone has it, whatever their role. It holds three cards: your profile information, your password, and account deletion.

Profile information, password and account deletion, each in its own card and each saved separately.

Name and email #

Your name is what teammates see next to messages you send and conversations assigned to you, so keep it recognisable. Your email is your sign-in identity.

Field What it does
Name required Up to 255 characters.
Email required Must be a valid address, lowercase, and not already used by another account on the platform.

Each card saves on its own Save button. Changing your name in the profile card and expecting the password fields to save with it will not work.

An admin cannot change your email for you. On Team members they can edit your name and your role, but the address is fixed once the account exists — it can only be changed here, by you.

Changing your password #

Enter your current password, then the new one twice. Getting the current password wrong is the usual reason the form comes back with an error rather than saving.

Two things happen when the change goes through. You are emailed a confirmation that your password was changed — if that arrives and it was not you, treat it as a compromised account and tell an owner. And every mobile app session you have is signed out, because a phone holds its token for weeks and would otherwise keep working on the old credentials. Sign in again on the app with the new password.

Deleting your account #

The last card deletes your own account. It is not the tool for removing a teammate — that is Deactivate or Delete on Team members.

If you are the owner, stop and think. Ownership does not transfer on deletion, and the role picker only ever offers roles below your own — so you cannot promote anyone to Owner on your way out. An organization left without an owner has nobody who can manage billing, create or edit roles, or add a WhatsApp number. If you are leaving a team rather than leaving the product, ask an admin to deactivate you instead — that ends your access without touching the record of your work.
