A collection is a group of products. When you send a product list into a conversation, each collection becomes one section of that list — so collections are how you decide what the customer's menu actually looks like.
When you'd use it #
A menu with courses
Starters, mains, desserts — three collections, one readable list message.
Seasonal ranges
Build the collection ahead of time and send it the day the offer opens.
Narrowing the choice
A catalog of two hundred products is unusable in a chat. A collection of eight is not.
Building collections #
-
Create the collection
Name it as the customer will read it — the name becomes the section heading they see. -
Add products
Choose from your synced catalog. A product can belong to several collections. -
Keep sections short
WhatsApp limits how much of a list it will show. Long sections get truncated, and a truncated menu sells nothing.
Where to go next #
Product catalog
Products with SKU, price and image, synced to your Meta commerce catalog.
Orders
Carts customers submitted from your catalog, and the status pipeline you move them through.
Working a conversation
Reply, send media and interactive messages, assign a teammate, and take a thread off the bot.
