Build WhatsApp Business scenarios in Make, without writing code

CustomerPro for Make gives you an instant trigger for 20 kinds of events on your WhatsApp Business account, and modules to update contacts, send approved templates, fill contact lists and start flows. Use it when a Zap is not enough: branching routes, loops over many records, and data from several apps in one scenario.

Who it is for

For teams whose process has more than two steps

Make suits owners and operations people who are comfortable drawing a process as boxes and arrows, and agencies who build automations for clients.

Agencies running client accounts

Build one scenario per client workspace, each with its own API key, and hand over something the client can see and edit.

Shops with COD and prepaid orders

Route new orders by payment type: ask COD buyers to confirm on WhatsApp, send prepaid buyers a thank-you, and log both to your sheet.

Institutes and service businesses

Take enquiries from several forms, clean the phone numbers, add each person to the right batch list and start the matching follow-up flow.

What it can do

One instant trigger, five modules

Watch Events is a real webhook, not polling: Make registers it on your account when you save the scenario and removes it when you delete the trigger.

Trigger — Watch Events (pick one event per trigger)

Contacts and leads
New contact, updated contact, lead qualified, new Facebook Lead Ads lead, customer inactive.
Conversations
New inbound message, conversation closed, campaign completed, flow completed.
Appointments
Appointment booked, appointment cancelled.
Orders
New order, order paid, order shipped, order delivered, order cancelled, checkout abandoned.
Payments
Payment succeeded, payment failed, payment refunded.

Actions and search

Create or Update a Contact
By phone or email, with name, company, notes and your custom fields. Matches before it creates, so no duplicates.
Search Contacts

Add a Contact to a List

Setup

Connect CustomerPro to Make

  1. 1

Sign up and connect your WhatsApp number

Create a CustomerPro account and connect your WhatsApp Business number through your Meta Business account.

  2. 2

Create an API key named "Make"

In CustomerPro go to Settings → Developer → API keys. Copy the client ID and client secret; the secret is shown once.

  3. 3

Add a CustomerPro module to a scenario

In Make, add a CustomerPro module and create a connection with the client ID and secret. Make tests the connection before saving it.

  4. 4

Choose the event or the template

For Watch Events, pick the event. For Send a WhatsApp Template, pick the template from the list of approved ones and map each variable.

  5. 5

    Run once, then schedule

Use "Run once" and trigger the event yourself — for example, message your own number. Check each bubble's output, then switch the scenario on.

Security and permissions

Scoped, revocable, and inside WhatsApp's rules

  • One key per connection

Give each Make connection its own API key. Deleting the key cuts that connection off without touching the others.

  • Webhooks clean up after themselves

Deleting the Watch Events trigger detaches its webhook, so events stop being sent to Make.

  • Templates only for outbound

The send module lists approved templates only. Free-form messages outside the 24-hour window are not possible from a scenario.

  • Consent is your responsibility

Flows skip contacts who opted out. The template module sends to the number you give it — filter on consent before that step.

How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Questions about CustomerPro for Make

One instant trigger, Watch Events, which fires on things like a new contact, a new inbound message, a qualified lead or a new order. Five modules act on your account: create or update a contact, find a contact, send a WhatsApp template, add a contact to a list and start a flow.

Create an API key in CustomerPro under Settings → Developer → API keys, then paste its client ID and secret into a new CustomerPro connection in Make. Make tests the connection before saving it.

Instant. When you save the scenario, Make registers a webhook with CustomerPro for the event you picked, and we push each event to it. Removing the trigger removes the webhook.

Scenarios usually message customers who have not written in the last 24 hours, and WhatsApp only allows approved templates in that case. The module lists your approved templates so you cannot pick one Meta has not approved.

Yes, each module run is a Make operation, billed by Make under your Make plan. On the CustomerPro side, template sends are billed by Meta at its published rates like any other template.

Yes. Create a separate API key on a test workspace and use it in its own Make connection. Keep test and live connections apart so a test scenario can never message real customers.
