Notes are private to the person who wrote them, whatever their role. When something should be shared with the team, the contact’s Team note is the place for it — and the two are named differently so nobody mixes them up.

  • Nobody else can read your notes, including the workspace owner
  • Team note on a contact is the shared one, and says so
  • Deleted notes stay in Trash for 30 days

Press Alt+N (Option+N on a Mac) or the round + button on any page and start typing. Notes save as you type, so there is no Save button to forget.

3 Linked

Attached to the record.

Open a quick note on a contact, deal or inbox conversation and it is linked to that record automatically. The record page shows your notes about it under My notes, and the notebook keeps them in folders you choose.

No. Notes are private to the person who wrote them, whatever their role, and that includes the workspace owner.

Use the Team note on the contact. It is shared with your team, which is why it has a different name from My notes.

It is an app your workspace installs from Settings, then Apps. Once installed, anyone can hide it from their own menu without affecting teammates.

It goes to Trash and stays there for 30 days before it is gone.

Notes are on the web for now; the mobile app does not show them yet.
